Author Visit for Spiritualism's Place: Reformers, Seekers, and Seances in Lily Dale

Author Visit

In Spiritualism's Place, the four friends and scholars who produce the acclaimed Dig: A History Podcast share their curiosity and enthusiasm for uncovering stories from the past as they explore the history of Lily Dale. Located in western New York State, the world's largest center for Spiritualism was founded in 1879. Three of these historians, podcasters, and authors will be at the Woodward Memorial Library on Monday, July 6, at 6:00 PM, for a discussion and book signing.

Office for the Aging

Join us on the Library's front lawn to celebrate the start of Summer Reading! This year, the fun is for ALL AGES, not just the kids. There will be live music by local musicians, two food trucks with food for purchase, games to play for prizes, face painting, and crafts. Some of LeRoy's community helpers will also have tables for you to visit.

Live music by Damn the Flood will be at 5:30 and 7:30 PM.

Plus at 6:00pm we’ll have a special reptile show by REPCO Wildlife! Be sure to stop by our registration table to sign up for one of our summer reading challenges. All ages! Registration is appreciated, but not required.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Families are invited to join the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program at the Woodward Memorial Library! 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is a nationwide challenge that encourages parents and caregivers to regularly read aloud to their children. By reading just one book a night, families can reach the 1,000-book goal in three years and provide their children essential early literacy skills.

All you have to do is stop into the Children's Room to sign up, and we'll give you all of the materials needed to begin!
